Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
7:18 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, North CR 700E, north of North Sullivan Road, North Webster. Driver: Todd F. Harris, 56, East McKenna Road, Warsaw. Harris was traveling south on CR 700E when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
6:58 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, West CR 100S, east of South CR 650W, Warsaw. Driver: Brenda J. McCormick, 60, South SR 19, Bourbon. McCormick was traveling east on CR 100S when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
5:01 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, North CR 300E, near East CR 1050N, Milford. Drivers: Ociel N. Vallejo, 32, North CR 250E, Milford; and David B. Roe, 34, Heron Boulevard, Warsaw. Vallejo was traveling east on CR 1050N when he pulled into the path of Roe’s vehicle. Roe could not avoid the crash and his vehicle came to a stop in the east ditch on CR 300E. Damage up to $10,000.
7:08 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, West SR 14, west of South CR 1000W, Akron. Driver: Ashley L. Bennett, 28, South County Farm Road, Silver Lake. Bennett was traveling west on SR 14 when she attempted to stop at a stop sign. Her vehicle began to slide sideways, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole. Bennett was treated by Lutheran EMS for a nose injury. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
1:42 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, East Center Street, near South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Natalie E. Bryan, 24, East Center Street B., Warsaw; and Charles W. Shane, 65, East CR 225S, Akron. Bryan was moving her vehicle from a parking space when she struck Shane’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
10:56 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, SR 15, north of Lyon Street, Warsaw. Drivers: James K. Motycka, 52, Park West Boulevard, Vicksburg, Mich.; Juanita L. Geary, 49, East Forest Circle, Warsaw; and Jennifer S. Cone, 52, East CR 300S, Warsaw. Motycka was traveling south on SR 15 when he attempted to move to the right lane of travel. As he did so, Motycka realized he no longer had room to change lanes. As he came back into the left lane, his vehicle rear-ended Geary’s. This pushed Geary’s vehicle into Cone’s path of travel, also causing a collision. Damage up to $25,000.
8:46 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, Market Street, south of Park Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Patsy D. Moore, 89, North Lincoln Street, Warsaw; and Erika G. Ayala, 26, Sue Avenue, Warsaw. Moore was traveling through a parking lot when she pulled in front of Ayala’s vehicle, causing a collision. Damage up to $5,000.
