Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
5:04 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, West CR 1350N, west of North CR 850W, Nappanee. Driver: Nicholas Wilmot, 23, Elm Street, Nappanee. Wilmot swerved his vehicle to avoid a deer in the roadway, causing his vehicle to drive into a ditch. Damages up to $5,000.
Mentone
Officers with the Mentone Police Department investigated the following accident:
10:35 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, SR 25, west of Bruner Road, Mentone. Driver: Kenneth Smith, 54, CR 200N, Rochester. Smith’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:35 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, Main Street and North Street, Sidney. Driver: William Balsbaugh, 78, Milborn Street, Marion. Balsbaugh’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:39 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, US 30 and Silveus Crossing, Warsaw. Drivers: Ernie Morrison, 56, Buffalo Street, Warsaw; and David Medlin, 30, Tabor Road, Sodus, Mich. Morrison’s vehicle rear-ended Medlin’s vehicle, which was stopping for a red light. Damages up to $2,500.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:39 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, Packerton Road and East CR 225S, Winona Lake. Drivers: Tyler Barber, 16, Riviera Drive, Warsaw; and Danielle Bickerstaff, 41, Front Street, North Manchester. Barber pulled his vehicle out into the path of Bickerstaff’s vehicle, causing the two to collide. Damages up to $5,000.
