North Webster Community Public Library Invites Public To Sweets N’ Vocal Motion Program
NORTH WEBSTER — The North Webster Community Public Library invites the public to a holiday evening of musical entertainment and delicious homemade desserts at its Sweets n’ Vocal Motion Program at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, in the North Webster Community Center Banquet Hall.
Performing will be Wawasee High School’s Vocal Motion Show Choir under the direction of Choral Director Connie Meadows. While this high energy group of high schoolers performs, guests can enjoy an assortment of homemade desserts provided by the Friends of the Library. Since this library event is also a Friends of the Library fundraiser, there will be an admission fee of $5 per person at the door, with proceeds going to support the work of the library. So come and enjoy Sweets n’ Vocal Motion.
More entertainment will be available earlier that day at 1:30 p.m. when the Adult Services Department shows a free movie matinee for adults. The movie is a classic 1963 musical comedy that will bring back memories.
The kids will have their own movie at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13. The Youth Department will be showing a 2017 animated inspirational comedy about an unlikely group of eccentric stable animals on an adventure following a star and becoming part of the first Christmas. The movie is free with free popcorn as well.
Crafts and Stories continues at 4 p.m. every Tuesday when school-age children can make a craft while listening to stories. Paws-To-Read is held from 4 to 5 p.m. every Tuesday as well. Children can sign up for a private 15-minute reading session with therapy dog Echo. The reading sessions are by appointment only and must be scheduled in advance at the Youth Services Desk or by calling (574) 834-7122 ext. 202.
‘Tis the season for holiday movies, and the North Webster Library has a large selection of Christmas movies for the entire family.
