Tigers Pull Away From Eagles
WARSAW – A razor-thin lead in the fourth eventually provided some breathing room in a 39-28 Warsaw freshman boys basketball win Monday night over Columbia City.
An 11-point Tiger lead dwindled to just one in the fourth quarter before Warsaw found some scoring to distance itself from the pesky Eagles.
Sami Smith led the way for the home side with nine points as did Daylan Vermilyer. Judah Smifukwe had eight points, Hunter Rice seven points and Kyle Dawson six points in the win.
Warsaw (6-1) will play again Thursday when it hosts Wawasee at 6:30 p.m.
