MICHIANA HOMESCHOOL ACADEMY GIRLS 49, LAKELAND CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 48
LCA hit the road Thursday and left stunned in a 49-48 loss to Michiana Homeschool Academy.
The Cougars rallied to take a 31-29 lead after three quarters after trailing after the first two, but the hosts found a way to get the win.
Tori Calizo led LCA with 14 points and nine rebounds. Anna Reimink had 13 points, eight rebounds and three assists, and Jessi Calizo had 12 points, seven steals and six rebounds. LCA recorded 16 steals in the game, but committed 19 turnovers.
A. Seide scored 24 points to lead MHA.
LCA falls to 6-6 heading into the Bethany Christian Tournament this Saturday.
WARSAW 9TH GRADE BOYS 44, WAWASEE 22
Warsaw started rivalry week off by doubling up Wawasee in freshman boys hoops.
A 16-5 run to open the second half was the trick for the Tigers, which only led 19-11 at the half. Kyle Dawson led the Tigers with 14 points and Judah Simfukwe added 12 points in the win. Wawasee couldn’t get its offense going, with Keaton Dukes the leading scorer with six points.
NORTHWOOD 9TH GRADE BOYS 31, PLYMOUTH 16
Caden Graham had a big night with 12 points and four assists to lead the Panthers to the win. Jaxon Miller added six points and three boards and Tariq Harp added five points and three rebounds. After playing to just a 6-6 first half, NorthWood held Plymouth to just two points in the third quarter and scored 17 points to put the game away in the fourth.
EDGEWOOD 8TH GRADE BOYS 47, LAKEVIEW 24
Edgewood held Lakeview super scorer Jaxson Gould to just nine points. Mason Williamson added five points in the loss. Edgewood did not report its scorers.
EDGEWOOD 7TH GRADE BOYS 27, LAKEVIEW 15
Isaiah Lara and Layton Isbell both scored five points in the loss for the 12-3 Lakeview side. Edgewood did not report its scorers.
MILLERSBURG 8TH GRADE BOYS 45, MILFORD 31
Brendan Freeman led Milford in the game with 13 points.

Brandon Kelly led with 13 points, and Ty Brooks finished with 11 for the 3-4 Warriors.

Bradyn Miller led Milford in the ‘A’ loss with 18 points. Six different Milford players had two points each in the ‘B’ game.

Blain Sheetz had seven points and Ian Crooksey added six points in the ‘A’ game while Luke Tucker tossed in 12 points in the ‘B’ win. Valley adjusts to 6-2 on the ‘A’ side and 6-0 on the ‘B’ side.
