High St. 6F, Warsaw, is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a narcotic drug and possession of a syringe, all level 6 felonies; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; and sentence enhancement possession of marijuana, a class A misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Wednesday, Nov. 28, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop after an approaching vehicle failed to dim their headlights on SR 25 in the area of Golf Heights Road.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Case. The front seat passenger was identified as Harville, and Walters was a passenger in the back seat. While the officer was speaking with the individuals, he observed that Harville appeared to be under the influence of some type of drug. Harville reportedly volunteered that she was okay.
An officer with the Warsaw Police Department used his K9 partner to conduct an outer air search of the vehicle. The K9 made a positive alert for the presence of drugs. At that time, officers searched the vehicle. On the passenger side, officers located a clear plastic bag containing multiple clear blue plastic bags, a plastic bag containing a green, leafy substance, a bag containing a crystal material, a piece of a burnt handmade cigarette and a bag containing seven white, oblong pills. In the glove compartment, officers found eight syringes.
The crystal material field-tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed 1 gram. The green, leafy material field-tested positive for marijuana. Officers found that four of the white, oblong pills were not a controlled substance, but three of the pills were identified as hydrocodone, a schedule II narcotic drug. In the back seat area of the vehicle, officers found a backpack containing a clear plastic bag with white residue that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. In the front pocket of the backpack, officers found Walters’ birth certificate. On the driver seat, multiple small crystals were discovered. The crystals field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Officers spoke with Harville, who allegedly admitted that she had illegal drugs on her person. She also advised the drugs found on the passenger side were given to her by Case to hide. She stated that the syringes belonged to Case.
Walters, Case and Harville were all booked at the Kosciusko County Jail on Thursday, Nov. 29, each on $5,250 surety and cash bonds.
