UPDATE: Two Transported To Hospital After Saturday Night Accident
LEESBURG — Two people were transported to Fort Wayne for injuries after a single vehicle accident on North Warsaw Oswego Road, south of East Rader Road, Leesburg.
At approximately 11:38 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a vehicle accident.
The crash involved a 2002 green Ford Explorer, operated by Larry L. Dennis, 48, Syracuse. Dennis was traveling westbound on Rader Road and attempted to make the curve onto Warsaw Oswego Road when his vehicle overcorrected, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway.
Dennis’ vehicle then traveled through a crop field before becoming airborne and coming to rest in a drainage ditch.
Dennis complained of lower leg and knee pain. A passenger in the vehicle, Jeremy S. Olmstead, 44, Milford, sustained a head injury. Both Dennis and Olmstead were transported by EMS to Lutheran Fort Wayne for treatment.
Damages are estimated at up to $25,000.
