Nappanee Library Announces Early February Events
NAPPANEE — The Nappanee Public Library has announced activities for the first week in February.
Winter Reading Challenge — Feb. 1-28 (all ages)
NPL’s Winter Reading Challenge is a simple reading program created to encourage readers of all ages to curl up with good books during the winter season. For participants who read 500 minutes in the month of February, a soft pretzel from Perfect Twist Pretzels will be awarded. To participate, patrons can read or listen to anything, including books, e-books, newspapers, audiobooks or blogs. To register or begin logging minutes, visit nappaneelibrary.org and look for the winter reading logo. Registration begins Friday, Feb. 1.
The Winter Reading Challenge is open to current Nappanee residents, Fee, PLAC, and Reciprocal Cardholders only. During the launch of the program, the library will provide coffee, hot cocoa and special treats. Anyone who registers on Feb. 1 will get entered into a Winter Reading Giveaway!
Blending In — Feb. 2, 3 to 4:30 p.m. (teens and adults)
Blending In is a group for high-functioning autistic teens and other unique teens seeking to meet others in a safe, laid-back, positive environment.Teens and parents are invited. Registration is required. Call Cami for more information at (574) 333-6201 or to register.
Southern Care Hospice — Feb. 4, 2 to 4 p.m. (adults)
Interested patrons can learn what hospice is and ask important questions. The program is presented by Southern Care Hospice. No registration is necessary.
