Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
12:19 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, Lake City Highway and Springhill Road, Warsaw. Driver: Kayley Patton, 24, Old Road 30, Pierceton. While driving down the road, an object appeared to come off of a semi and struck Patton’s vehicle. The object was identified as a brake rotor, but it was unclear if the object came off of the semi. Damages up to $5,000.
11:49 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, Lake City Highway and Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: William Wilson, 61, 7th Avenue, Council Bluffs, Iowa; and Claire Brandenburg, 15, CR 300S, South Whitley. According to Wilson, Brandenburg’s vehicle came to a sudden stop and Wilson was unable to avoid rear-ending the vehicle. Damages up to $5,000.
8:43 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 1000 Kuder Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Sagar Phalke, 26, Kuder Lane, Warsaw. Phalke attempted to stop his vehicle while traveling through a parking lot. The vehicle slid on ice and struck a fence and a dumpster. Damages up to $2,500.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:03 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, Market Street and First Street, Pierceton. Driver: John Jones, 26, CR 650N, North Webster. Jones’ vehicle struck a parked car registered to Lauren Townsend, Pierceton. Damages under $750.
