Police Report Finding Intoxicated Woman In Jail Lobby
WARSAW — According to police, A Warsaw woman made enough of a commotion in the lobby of the county jail to land herself on the other side of the bars.
Breanna Joy Antrim, 28, 920 Anchorage Road, No. 117, Warsaw, is charged with battery to a public official, a level 6 felony.
According to police, a deputy with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was called to the lobby of the Kosciusko County Jail to respond to a report of an intoxicated female. The affidavit of probable cause says that the officer located the woman, identified as Antrim and reported that she was exhibiting erratic behavior.
The officer reported that Antrim admitted having smoked methamphetamine and a portable breath test determined that Antrim had a blood alcohol level of .215.
Emergency medical personnel arrived to transport Antrim to the hospital and police reported that Antrim began resisting assistance.
Once transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital, the affidavit reports that Antrim struck the assessing physician on the chin.
Antrim is scheduled to appear in Kosciusko Superior Court No. 3 on February 14 at 1 p.m. for an initial hearing.
