Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
6:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, East CR 1300N, east of North CR 175E, Milford. Driver: Charles E. Nyers, 38, South Syracuse-Webster Road, Syracuse. Nyers advised he was traveling west on CR 1300N when a vehicle traveling east came into the westbound lane and clipped the front end of his vehicle. Nyers’ vehicle then went into a ditch and struck a barbed wire fence. The other vehicle failed to stop after the accident. Damage up to $2,500.
5:51 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, Turkey Creek Drive, south of South Higbee Street, Milford. Drivers: Skylor C. Piersall, 21, South Higbee Street, Milford; and Maria Martinez-Ramos, 31, Sue Avenue, Warsaw. Piersall was traveling south on SR 15. When she went around a curve in the road, she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle spun around and struck a guardrail on the east side of the road on the northbound side. After Piersall’s vehicle came into the northbound lane and struck the guardrail, Martinez-Ramos’ vehicle, which was traveling north, struck Piersall’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:31 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, SR 15, north of Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Driver: Paul J. Pegues, 56, North SR 15, Warsaw. Pegues stated that a vehicle turned in front of his vehicle, cutting him off. This resulted in Pegues’ vehicle swerving and he lost control of the vehicle. Pegues’ vehicle hit a guard rail and slid up and onto the guardrail, leaving the front end of the vehicle off the ground. Damage up to $2,500.
