Man Arrested After Stealing Items From Residence He Was Supposed To Be Looking After
PIERCETON — A Pierceton man was arrested for theft after stealing items from a residence he was supposed to be looking after while the owner was out of town.
Bryan Earl Frush, 31, 308 S. Third St., Pierceton, is being charged with theft, a level 6 felony.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Friday, Jan. 18, officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office spoke with a female who advised that sometime between Aug. 4 and Sept. 2, 2018, she had been out of town. The female said that Frush and another female were looking after her residence while she was away. She advised that when she returned she discovered that three rings had been stolen from her jewelry box and 20 morphine pills had been stolen.
The female told police that she left a key to the residence with Frush and the other female. There were no signs of forced entry to the home.
Police obtained information that the female who was looking after the residence with Frush took the rings, and Frush pawned them. Bowers Jewelry was contacted, and it was confirmed by employees there that on Aug. 16, 2018, Frush sold three rings to Bowers Jewelry for $152. Bowers Jewelry advised the three rings had a value of $1,295.
Frush was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail on Thursday, Jan. 24, on a $4,500 surety and cash bond.
