Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
11:16 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, West SR 14, west of South County Farm Road, Silver Lake. Driver: Ricky G. Oliver, 53, North CR 700E, Roann. Oliver was traveling east on West SR 14 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
9:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, South Country Club Road, south of East Riviera Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Tyler L. Goodpaster, 22, Old Colony Road, Warsaw. Goodpaster was traveling north on South Country Club Road when his vehicle went off the roadway and crashed into the south side of a residence at 2411 S. Country Club Road. Goodpaster’s vehicle came to a stop partially inside the south side of the house. Neither Goodpaster nor the resident’s occupants were injured in the crash. Damage up to $25,000.
7:18 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, North Barbee Road, west of EMS B70 Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Barbara M. Trott, 50, EMS B6 Lane, Leesburg. Trott was traveling north on North Barbee Road when a deer entered the roadway. Trott swerved her vehicle to avoid the deer, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a metal pole. Damage up to $2,500.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:
9:55 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, North Old Road 15, south of East CR 1150N, Milford. Drivers: Linda M. Craig, 59, Madison Street, Rochester; and Donna L. Beer, 64, North Conner Court, Milford. Beer said she was traveling south on Old Road 15 when Craig’s vehicle pulled into her path of travel, causing a collision. Craig was transported by ambulance to Kosciusko Community Hospital for internal body injuries. Beer was transported by a police unit to Goshen ER for body pain. Damage up to $25,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, East Center Street, near North Scott Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Holly M. Hummitch, 39, East Main Street, Warsaw; and Joseph W. Frentzel, 41, West Catalpa Lane, Warsaw. Hummitch was traveling north on South Scott Street when she rear-ended Frentzel’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
7:02 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, West Center Street, west of Hand Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Rajah A. Rao, 27, Collins Drive, Warsaw. Rao was traveling west on West Center Street when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
11:13 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, US 30, near North CR 150W, Warsaw. Drivers: Charles C. Gross, 39, East CR 350N, Rolling Prairie; and Ward A. Roth, 57, North Beverly Avenue, Youngstown, OH. Gross was traveling east on Lake City Highway, approaching an intersection with a green light. Gross briefly looked away from the roadway to adjust the defrost of his vehicle. When he looked back up, his vehicle rear-ended Roth’s vehicle. Gross was airlifted to Lutheran Hospital due to a fracture dislocation near his elbow and lower arm. Roth complained of right shoulder and upper arm pain and was treated for his injuries at Kosciusko Community Hospital. Damage up to $25,000.
8:27 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, US 30, near East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Kayla M. Kessay, 27, Clinic Court, Warsaw; and Joe L. Tarlton, 68, West Market Street, Pierceton. Kessay was traveling west on US 30 when she was distracted by a passenger in the vehicle jumping around. When she looked back up at the roadway, the traffic signal for westbound US 30 had already turned red and Tarlton’s vehicle was turning in front of her. Kessay’s vehicle collided with Tarlton’s. Kessay complained of shoulder pain and a passenger in Tarlton’s vehicle, Ruth A. Tarlton, 68, Pierceton, complained of back pain. Damage up to $25,000.
