UPDATE — Milford Accident Sends One Vehicle Into Muddy Field

At 9:55 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, a 1998 Buick LeSabre driven by Linda M. Craig, Rochester, was traveling westbound on E 1150 N south of Milford. After crossing the railroad tracks, Craig entered the intersection with Old State Road 15, where she collided with a 2018 Lincoln MKX, driven southbound by Donna L. Beer, Milford.
The collision resulted int he car driven by Craig to spin 180 degrees, with the vehicle pointing east when it came to rest. The Lincoln continued traveling southbound and ended in a field to the southwest of the intersection.
Both Craig and Beer were treated at the scene by Lutheran EMS, Beer with internal soreness and Craig with general soreness throughout her body. Neither required ambulance transport.
Craig was cited for failure to yield. Damage was estimated at up to $25,,000.
ORIGINAL STORY:
MILFORD — Two vehicles collided in an intersection south of Milford at approximately 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4. Initial reports were that a blue Buick LeSabre was westbound on CR 1150 N when it entered the intersection with Old SR 15. It was struck by a southbound Lincoln MKX sport utility vehicle.
The impact spun the Buick 180 degrees, leaving it at rest in the southwest corner of the intersection. The momentum of the Lincoln took it into the field the the southwest of the crossroads.
Both drivers were treated at the scene by Lutheran EMS, though neither required transport.
Milford Fire Department, Indiana State Police, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Milford Police Department, Winona Lake Police Department and Syracuse Police Department all reported to the scene of the accident.
Traffic through the intersection was diverted, and the scene was cleared shortly before 11 a.m.
