Pierceton Man Faces Battery Charges
PIERCETON — A Pierceton man is facing charges after allegedly battering a female.
Samuel Frush, 54, 204 W. Elm St., Pierceton, is being charged with domestic battery resulting in serious bodily injury and domestic battery resulting in bodily injury, both level 6 felonies.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Wednesday, Feb. 6, officers from the Pierceton Police Department spoke with a female who advised that she and Frush got into an argument on Feb. 5. She allegedly told officers that Frush became enraged and battered her, causing injuries. The female said that in the past Frush has threatened to kill her and that she believes someday he will kill her.
She further stated that Frush has been abusing her for a long period of time.
Officers observed injuries to the female, including a deep bruise to her arm, deep bruising and a red scrape mark to her right shoulder, reddish marks on her left wrist and a large knot on top of her head. The female advised she believed her left hand was broken and stated she would be going to the hospital for treatment.
Frush was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail on Feb. 6 on a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
