Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
5:28 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, SR 15, north of West CR 400N, Warsaw. Driver: Scott A. Gingerich, 30, Taft Street, Warsaw. Gingerich’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
7:05 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, SR 13, south of SR 14, Pierceton. Driver: Sandra L. St. John, 27, Sara Street, South Whitley. St. John’s vehicle was southbound on SR 13 when it slid on the ice-covered roadway, went across the northbound lanes of SR 13 and into a ditch. Damage up to $5,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
12:33 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, East CR 500N, west of North Cranbrook Road, North Webster. Driver: Dustin M. Myers, 28, West First Street, Milford. Myers lost control of his vehicle and struck a NIPSCO utility pole. As a result of the crash, Myers’ vehicle rolled over and came to rest on its top. Myers had fled the scene prior to arrival of law enforcement officers. A passenger in the vehicle, Carolyn Plank, 22, EMS B5 Lane, Leesburg, had facial injuries and was taken by North Webster EMS to Parkview Warsaw Hospital for medical treatment. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officer with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
6:19 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, North Harrison Street, south of Sally Street, Warsaw. Driver: Kenneth W. Chupp, 60, North Maple Avenue, Warsaw. Chupp’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $1,000.
7:32 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, North Lake Street and West Perry Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Logan D. Brown, 20, West CR 350S, Warsaw; and Cassandra K. Secor, 29, Old Road 30, Warsaw. Brown was driving eastbound on West Perry Street and was making a right turn onto North Lake Street. As he made the turn, Brown’s vehicle slid sideways and crossed the center line into the path of Secor’s vehicle. Secor complained of shoulder pain. Damage up to $5,000.
6:31 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Kelly S. Crawley, 56, East Hatchery Road, Syracuse. Crawley lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered roadway and collided with a NIPSCO utility pole and a sign for Rock Bottom. Damage up to $10,000.
