PIERCETON — Cub Scout Pack 3761 annual cake auction and pinewood derby will be held Sat., Feb. 23, at Pierceton American Legion Post 258. Concession stand opens at noon. At 12:30 p.m. enjoy bidding on the cake of your choice and support our Cub Scouts. Make memories watching Cub Scouts and their family members compete during our pinewood derby. 

Pinewood derby is a racing event with unpowered, unmanned miniature cars that started over 65 years ago. Cub Scouts build their cars from wood, then add tires and decorations with the assistance of their family members. Gravity accelerates the pinewood derby car down a long race track. Pierceton Cub Scouts have enjoyed racing pinewood derby cars for more than 50 years.
