Warsaw Woman Faces Charges After Domestic Dispute
WARSAW — A Warsaw female was arrested after allegedly striking a male during a domestic dispute.
Elizabeth Marie Fairfax, 33, 1063 Pike Shore Drive, Warsaw, is being charged with domestic battery with a child under the age of 16 present, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Sunday, Feb. 24, officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to a domestic dispute in Kosciusko County. Officers spoke with a male who stated that he and Fairfax were involved in a verbal argument. The male said Fairfax became angry and struck him repeatedly in the face and chest. Officers observed and photographed red marks on the chest and face of the male.
The female reportedly had a knife in her possession, which the male took from her. The female also allegedly took a hammer and struck the male’s cell phone with it.
Fairfax told police she did use her hand to strike the male multiple times. A minor was present in the room when the battery was taking place.
Fairfax was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail Sunday, Feb. 24, on a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
