Warsaw Man Faces Charges After Police Say He Battered His Adult Children
WARSAW — A Warsaw man is facing criminal charges after police say he battered his adult children.
Hugo Mellado Limon, 39, 548 E. Main St., Warsaw, is being charged with two counts of domestic battery with a child under 16 present, level 6 felonies; and two charges of domestic battery, class A misdemeanors.
On. Feb. 22, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance. The victim, who was not listed as a minor, stated that her father was intoxicated and became upset with her because she didn’t come home “in a timely manner.” The victim advised that as soon as she entered the house, Limon started grabbing at her and struck her with a closed fist on the left side of her back. The officer was able to observe a red mark on the victim’s back.
The victim further advised that Limon threw his other adult daughter on the couch, causing a large scratch on her left arm. This victim confirmed to the officer that her scratch was caused by Limon.
Two minor children were present in the house during the altercation.
Limon agreed to take a portable breath test, which resulted in a .15 BAC. He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Feb. 23, with a $6,000 surety and cash bond.
