VIKINGS PLACE 4TH AT RRC

Tippecanoe Valley finished fourth as a team and had two individual champions at the Running Rivers Conference Championships held at Peru.

Gavin Shambaugh at 90 pounds and Bazle Owens at 220 pounds both emerged as weight class champions for the Vikings.

Eric Burke at 132, Gerardo Hermandez at 160 and Dalton Alber at 195 were all runners-up while Thad Shambaugh at 75 and Jadyn Virgil at 140 were third place. Denver Wilson, Barrett Heller, Zack Burke and Cameron Mason all made the podium for the Vikes.

LAKEVIEW TAKES FIFTH AT NELMSC

Lakeview scored 81 team points to place fifth in the standings at the Northeast Lakes Middle School Conference Championships.

Isaiah Martinez was runner-up to lead the Tigers, scoring two wins before losing in the final. Gideon Castro, Titus Hoover and Edwing Ortiz all won three matches to take third place, Hunter Midkiff and Brandon Cardona both were two-time winners and fourth place, and Danny Moon won two matches to take fifth place.
