Valley Hoops Trio Among All-TRC
DENVER – Tippecanoe Valley’s rebound season afforded the Vikings three names among the 2018-19 All-Three Rivers Conference boys basketball award winners, the league announced Monday.
Valley finished 7-2 and alone in second place after winning just two TRC games a season ago. The Vikings were one game behind champion Wabash, which finished 8-1, it’s only loss to Valley during the regular season.
Tanner Trippiedi and Cam Parker each were named All-TRC First Team for the Vikings, with teammate Parkur Dalrymple as Honorable Mention All-TRC.
Wabash had Trenton Daughtry, Logan Vander Veldon and Elijah Vander Veldon named First Team and Dereck Vogel as Honorable Mention.
Whitko and Manchester each were 6-3, the Wildcats with Spencer Sroufe and Brett Sickafoose as First Team and Drake Lewis as Honorable Mention. The Squires had Weston Hamby as All-TRC and Brayden Casper as Honorable Mention.
Peru and Southwood both ended 5-4, Daunte Majors and DJ Fuller named All-TRC for the Tigers and Dallas Holmes and Carson Rich for the Knights. Kade Townsend of Peru and Gabe Lloyd of Southwood were Honorable Mention.
Rochester (4-5) had Brady Perez named All-TRC and Kyle Reinartz as Honorable Mention.
Bryce Ward of Maconaquah (3-6) and Tristan Working of North Miami (0-9) were also All-TRC First Team. Chance Hagan of Maconaquah, Clayton Tomlinson of Northfield (1-8) and Braxton Beall of North Miami were all Honorable Mention All-TRC.
