Bell Memorial Public Library To Host Cooking Under Pressure Class
MENTONE — On April 2, the Bell Memorial Public Library will host a Cooking Under Pressure class that educates on using an Instant Pot.
Jackie Franks from the Kosciusko County Extension office will be leading the class. There is no cost to participate; however, the library asks that those interested sign up in advance. Please contact Billie at (574) 353-7234 for more information.

Preschool story hour takes place at 10 a.m. every Friday in the library’s children’s room. The theme for Friday, March 29 is Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Stories that will be read include “Goatilocks and the Three Bears” by Erica S. Perl and “The Three Bears” by Paul Galdone. Children can make bear lacing cards for their craft.
Are you new to Hoopla Digital? New titles include “California Girls” by Susan Mallory, “A Death in Live Oak” by James Grippando and “Don’t You Dare” by A.J. Waines. Recently added children’s titles include “How To Catch A Unicorn” by Adam Wallace and “Screams in the Night” by Paul Hutchens.
New DVDs at the library include “Creed II, “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald,” “Green Book,” “Ben is Back,” “All of My Heart,” Marrying Mr. Darcy,” Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse,” “Backtrace,” “Widows” and “Chesapeake Shores.”
The library also has many popular television series, both new and old, on DVD that are available for checkout. Currently available at the library are “Roseanne,” “Rosemary and Thyme,” “Rizzoli and Isles,” “Sherlock and the Shield.” Several of the library’s television series such as “Petticoat Junction” haven’t circulated in quite some time. Hurry in and check out your favorites before they disappear.
Bell Memorial Public Library is currently working on having old microfilm, pictures, documents and other Mentone history digitized. This is a work in progress and it will take some time, but the library’s goal is to make them available in a catalog so that they can be perused at patrons’ own convenience.
