KBOR To Host Charity Golf Outing
LEESBURG — The Kosciusko Board of Realtors will host its 26th annual charity golf outing on Monday, June 10, at the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club in Leesburg.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Kosciusko Board of Realtors Children’s Charities, including three annual $1,000 college scholarships and “Boots for Scholars.”
The festivities will begin with a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the clubhouse, followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start. There will be awards for first, second and last place teams, closest to the pin, longest putt and many more.
The Kosciusko Board of Realtors has a rich history of community involvement. They have awarded $75,000 in college scholarships since 1993. This scholarship is specifically designed to assist bright and motivated students to pay for their education expenses and help them live their dreams and achieve all their goals.
The Boots for Scholars program provides free gift cards to elementary school children to purchase shoes or boots for the school year; this program was started over 10 years ago. One of the many thank you cards received from the children said it all as to why the annual charity golf outing fundraiser is so important.
“I got a warm pair of boots just in time too, because my other shoes wore out.”
If you don’t want to golf, but still wish to show support for the event, enjoy a delicious lunch at the country club for only $25.
