Tigers Go Low To Beat Chargers
WARSAW – Posting its best nine-hole round of the season, the Warsaw Tigers were able to slip past Fort Wayne Carroll, 154-159, at Rozella Ford Golf Club Wednesday afternoon.
Chase Byron had his best nine-holer of the spring with a 36 to tie for medalist honors with Carroll’s Carson Pulver. Cal Hoskins was right there with the leaders, shooting a 37, and Zach LaLonde and Tucker Carlile chimed in with a 40 and 41, respectively.
Warsaw’s previous nine-hole best was 163, achieved twice in home matches against Fort Wayne Canterbury earlier in the month and also Monday against Triton.
The JV dropped its matchup with Carroll, 176-188. Will Hall and Mason Whitaker shot 45 and 46 to pace the Tigers.
Warsaw (3-3) heads to Rock Hollow Saturday for the Hall of Fame Invite for varsity work while the JV goes to Battle Ground for the Lafayette Jeff Invite.
