Etna Green Man Arrested For Possession Of Narcotics
WARSAW — An Etna Green man was arrested after officers discovered heroin in a vehicle.
Andrew Allen Strouse, 33, 9462 N. SR 19, No. 13, Etna Green, is being charged with possession of a narcotic drug, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On April 5, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department observed a driver who failed to properly use his vehicle’s turn signal when making a lane change. The officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Strouse.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Strouse dropped something on the ground when the officer removed him from his vehicle.
A K9 unit conducted an outer air search of the vehicle and made a positive alert. In the vehicle, officers found a black tube containing a white powder that tested positive for heroin. Officers also found a rolled-up dollar bill that had white flakes of powder on it.
Strouse admitted that he used the dollar bill to snort a narcotic drug.
He has already been arrested and released on $5,250 surety and cash bond. Strouse also had an initial hearing for this case on April 25.
