Warsaw Woman Arrested For Domestic Battery
WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was arrested after allegedly hitting and scratching a male subject.
Stephanie Marie Adams, 46, 419 S. Maple Ave., Warsaw, is being charged with domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On April 20, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department was dispatched to the Wyndham Garden Warsaw, a hotel on Center Street, regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with a male subject.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the male said he and a female, identified as Adams, had been arguing because he had gone out to a bar while she was at work and didn’t tell her he was going out.
Adams found the male at the bar and they began arguing inside; both Adams and the male then left in a vehicle to go home and the argument continued. Adams then hit the male on the head. The male stopped the vehicle at a gas station and tried to leave, but Adams grabbed the male’s shirt and allegedly would not let him leave. The male got out of his shirt to leave the vehicle and ran to the hotel to contact police.
The officer observed a scratch mark on the male’s head between his right eye and right temple and a scratch mark across his chest.
Adams was then contacted by police for an interview. She admitted to verbally arguing with the male. After the male ran to the hotel, Adams said she left the scene and drove around to “cool down.”
Adams was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on April 20, with a $1,000 cash bond.
