WCS Middle Schools Welcome Potential Transfers
WARSAW — Warsaw Community Schools would like to remind parents with future middle school students that both Edgewood and Lakeview middle schools are accepting transfer students.
For parents of students looking to make the transition to a public school at the secondary level, NWEA testing will soon be taking place at both WCS middle schools, presenting the perfect opportunity to assess your student for placement into WCS middle school courses.
NWEA assessments allow middle school staff to ensure all students are placed in the correct science, math and language arts classes for the following school year.
NWEA testing will take place at Edgewood from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. May 13-16. Any possible incoming students, not currently enrolled in a WCS program, are welcome to call the office to arrange to take the NWEA placement test during this testing window.
Lakeview Middle School will take NWEA for math on May 13 and 14. The reading and language usage tests will be on May 15 and 16. Students not currently enrolled in Warsaw Community Schools are encouraged to call Lakeview at (574) 269-7211 to make arrangements to take the NWEA screener tests on these days.
Parents with additional questions are encouraged to call either Edgewood Middle School at (574) 371-5096 or Lakeview Middle School at (574) 269-7211.
