Where Will You Vote Tuesday
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Polling locations for city/town primary elections Tuesday, May 7, will have temporary locations. Here are the polling locations for Warsaw, Winona Lake and Syracuse. Additionally information for Warsaw voters as to which common council district he/she will be voting for is included.
All registered voters within the city of Warsaw will be voting at Center Lake Pavilion, 117 E. Canal St.
Residents of Wayne 1 – Winona Lake will vote at Grace Village Retirement Center, 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake. All registered voters in Wayne 3, 4, and 10 – Winona Lake, will vote at Winona Lake Senior Center.
All town of Syracuse voters will vote at Syracuse Community Center, 1013 N. Long Drive.
County voters in Jefferson 1 – Nappanee, who reside within the town limits of Nappanee will be voting at New Beginnings Assembly of God, 901 S. Main St.
What Warsaw Precincts Vote For What Districts
Warsaw City Council line redistricting took place in 2013 and new precinct boundary lines were approved in 2018, to follow the city council districts. While all voters were sent a voter acknowledgement notice reflecting the change to their voting precinct, there are still some questions with what district individuals vote for if they live in the city.
Here’s a breakdown of the wards and precincts and what district those voters will cast ballots for:
Ward 1
Precinct 1 — City 1 will vote for city common council District 1; City 5 will vote for city common council District 5.
Precinct 2 — Will vote for city common council District 1
Precinct 4 — City 1 will vote for city common council District 1
Precinct 4 — City 5 will vote for city common council District 5
Ward 2
Precinct 1 and 2 will vote for city common council District 2
Ward 3
Precincts 1 and 2 will vote for city common council District 3
Precinct 3 will vote for city common council District 4
Ward 4
Precincts 1 , 2 and 3 will vote for city common council District 5
Ward 5
Precinct 1 will vote for city common council District 5
Precinct 2 will vote for city common council District 1
Precinct 3 will vote for city common council District 5
Plain 5
City of Warsaw will vote for city common council district 5.
According to Ann Torpy, county clerk, voters of Ward 1 Precinct 1 and Ward 1 Precinct 4 are split between District 1 and 5. Their voter registration record will reflect the correct district on the poll list.
