Goshen Man Arrested For Domestic Battery
WARSAW — A Goshen man was arrested after allegedly battering a male subject.
Jorge Nunez Giron, 59, 16073 County Road 22, Goshen, is being charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On May 5, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department was dispatched to a location regarding a disturbance. Upon arrival, the officer observed five individuals yelling around a vehicle. The officer separated the individuals and spoke with a male subject who had a laceration under his eye. The male said he and four other subjects were traveling in the vehicle when a verbal argument occurred.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the male and Giron had a verbal argument. During the argument, Giron attempted to strike the male in the face numerous times. The vehicle stopped and the male exited the vehicle. Giron also exited the vehicle and struck the male in the face, causing the laceration under the male’s eye. A child was present in the vehicle at the time of the altercation.
Giron has already been arrested and released on a $5,250 surety and cash bond. He has an initial hearing at 1 p.m. Friday, May 31, in Kosciusko Superior II Court.
