Brandon Kresca Named TVHS Principal Following Resignation Of Chad Cripe
AKRON — Tippecanoe Valley High School received a large change in administration during the school board meeting held tonight, May 20.
During the consent agenda portion of the meeting, Chad Cripe’s name was included in a list of resignations for the board to accept. Board member Todd Hoffman asked that the resignation be separated from the rest of the consent agenda and voted on separately. Hoffman denied the resignation request but the motion passed with approval votes from the remaining board members.
No reason was given for Cripe’s resignation. Cripe was appointed as TVHS principal in July 2017.
At the end of the meeting, TVSC Superintendent Blaine Conley recommended the appointment of Brandon Kresca as TVHS’s new principal.
“He’s done an outstanding job here, building relationships with students, families, community members,” said Conley.
The board unanimously approved the appointment of Kresca as principal. Kresca was assistant principal at the high school and has held that role since February 2018.
“I’m just so thankful that the board has supported me and recommended me to be the new principal,” commented Kresca after the meeting. “I’ve been the assistant for one year and three months at this point and I just have found that Valley is a special place, we have got the absolute best students and the most amazing teachers in the state, in my opinion. I’m just really excited to lead that building and continue to do even better things.”
