Milford Town Caucus Set For June 18
MILFORD — A caucus to fill the vacancy of a Milford Town Council seat will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, in the town hall. Joellen Free, town council member, has resigned from her seat on the town council as she will be moving to Goshen. Her resignation is effective May 31.
Any resident residing within the town limits who is a registered Republican voter and has not been convicted of a felony is eligible to file a declaration of candidacy. The person appointed will fill the unexpired term of Free, which will end Dec. 31, 2022.
Declarations of candidacy are available at the office of Kosciusko County Clerk of the Circuit Court, 121 N. Lake St., Warsaw, and must be filed with the Kosciusko County Republican Chairman, Mike Ragan, no later than 72 hours before the start of the caucus. Each candidate will be allowed a maximum of three minutes to address members of the caucus.
Republican Precinct Committeemen from Van Buren Township Precincts 1, 2 and 3 will be voting for the new town council member.
Members of the caucus, candidates, candidates families, designated caucus staff, Republican Party officials, duly appointed waters and members of the news media are eligible to attend the caucus.
