GOSHEN – It was a role reversal for the 2018-19 Northern Lakes Conference All-Sports champions.
After taking the girls title in 2018, Warsaw claimed the boys title this year while Northridge, the 2018 boys winner, won the girls tally for this year.
Warsaw remained consistent within its boys ranks, sharing championships in basketball and golf and placing second in four others. The Tigers scored 118 points overall, outpacing Northridge’s 105 and NorthWood’s 94 atop the table. Northridge won soccer, wrestling and baseball titles along the way while the Panthers ran the table in football.
Concord were fourth at 92, taking swimming and tennis titles while Memorial and Plymouth came in at 82, the Pilgrims sharing the golf title with Warsaw and the Chargers top heavy with cross country, basketball and track titles, the basketball shared with Warsaw. Goshen (79) and Wawasee (68) concluded the table.
The Northridge girls hauled in soccer, basketball and swim titles and were runners-up in both golf and softball in piling up 115 points to lead the conference. Warsaw were fleet afoot in cross country and track titles and were second in volleyball, soccer and basketball while posting 108 points.
Softball and tennis titles helped Concord to 94 points and third place, followed by Plymouth’s volleyball and tennis co-champs titles and 81 points. NorthWood was just behind Plymouth with 80 points, buoyed by its golf title. Memorial (64), Wawasee (55) and Goshen (51) rounded out the girls standings.
