TRC Salutes Its Diamond Dwellers
WABASH – The Three Rivers Conference saw its final teams all bow out of the state baseball and softball tournaments this past weekend, and in accordance, released its All-TRC teams for each sport.
In baseball, the TRC released its First Teams by position. At pitcher, Nate Drancik of Northfield, Cody Koebler of Maconaquah, Kade Townsend of Peru, Grant Strobel of Manchester and Trenton Daughtry of Wabash were chosen. Catchers went to Kallen Kelsheimer of Wabash, Gabe Lloyd of Southwood and Mason Roberts of Manchester.
North Miami had a pair of infielders named All-TRC in Jackson Green and Nathan Musselman, along with Clayton Tomlinson of Northfield, Robert Irgang of Wabash, Zane Young of Rochester, Daunte Majors of Peru, Cameron Bell of Southwood, Zack Neer of Whitko and Mason Meyer of Manchester. Wabash had a pair of outfielders named in Jared Holley and Blake Gribben, along with Cole Rosen of Northfield, Brady Perez of Rochester, Eli Henderson of North Miami, Hunter Hays of Maconaquah and Thane Creager of Manchester. Rochester’s Braxton McGlothin and Trey Stesiak were both named All-TRC extra players.
Each team had an Honorable Mention selection. Lucas Walters was the choice for Tippecanoe Valley, and was joined on the list by Grant McCarter of Rochester, Chance Ogle of Peru, Logan Barley of Southwood, Alex Masters of North Miami, Zac Snyder of Maconaquah, Evan Wilson of Whitko, Devin Marcum of Manchester, Joe Leland of Wabash and Chance Hartman of Northfield.
Rochester and Southwood split the TRC title with a 7-2 mark. Valley finished its slate with a 4-5 mark.
In softball, the TRC also went position by position with its First Teams. At pitcher, Whitko’s Ellie Snep was joined by Graycee Ansari of Peru, Maci Brown of Rochester, Ashley Lackman of North Miami, Carra Wolf of Maconaquah and Abby Hunter of Northfield. The catchers went to Guinevere Garr of Whitko, Makenna Pace of Southwood and Allie Miller of North Miami.
Tippecanoe Valley had Ally Betten among the infielders, along with Whitko’s Emalee Duggins, Carly Beehler of Rochester, Hannah Halverson of Wabash, Emma West of Manchester, and the Northfield duo of Addi Baker and Ally Keaffaber and the North Miami duo of Marly Halterman and Maryann Freeman. Outfield awards went to Whitko’s Shianna Bradley, Carsyn Howard of Manchester, Taylor Tinney of North Miami, Maegan Sinkovics of Peru, Lilly Maple of Maconaquah, Mya Musselman of Rochester, Kyra Kennedy of Northfield and Sydney Osborn of Wabash. Kaycee Sims of Whitko, Ally Borges of Rochester and Kaelynn Meyer of Maconaquah were all named All-TRC extra players.
All 10 teams had an Honorable Mention selection, with Valley’s Amy Baca, Whitko’s Harley Bradley, Wabash’s Katie Newman, Maconaquah’s Andrea Selleck, Manchester’s Kindra Stetzel, Northfield’s Jenna Krom, North Miami’s Bailey Keim, Peru’s Caitlyn Mongosa, Rochester’s Charlie Pocock and Southwood’s Keagan Simpson.
North Miami won the conference title with an 8-1 mark, one game ahead of Whitko. Valley finished 1-8 in TRC play.
