Warsaw Woman Arrested After Drug Overdose
WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was arrested with several drug charges after an overdose.
Kayla Nicole Lamb, 20, 1088 Greene Drive, Warsaw, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a narcotic drug, and possession of cocaine, all level 6 felonies.
On May 18, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department was dispatched to a residence regarding an overdose. Upon arrival, the officer observed a male subject performing CPR on a female, identified as Lamb.
Lamb was administered Narcan at the scene and became alert. The officer found three plastic bags containing methamphetamine on Lamb’s person. According to the affidavit of probable cause, Lamb told the officer she had ingested a substance she believed to be cocaine. She was then transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital.
While searching the residence, officers found a cellphone that had a white, powdery substance on it and discovered it was the substance Lamb ingested. The substance tested positive for heroin as well as cocaine.
Lamb was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on June 5, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
