Little River Band Performs For Big Crowd At Warsaw’s Rockin’ For Riley Concert
WARSAW — A huge crowd of people attended the “Little River Band” concert at Warsaw’s Central Park tonight, June 14. Recent rains did not put a damper on the rock-n’-roll performance, with warm temperatures in the 70s and a mild breeze.
The Rockin’ For Riley concert raised money for Riley Children’s Hospital, and the event opened with the winner of 107.3 WRSW’s Local Star Search, “Wehr Rock of Elders.” “Little River Band” took the stage at 8 p.m.
“Little River Band” was formed in 1975 and has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. The band’s current members are Wayne Nelson, Chris Marion, Rich Herring, Ryan Ricks and Colin Whinnery.
The event was sponsored by the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department, 107.3 WRSW, DePuy Synthes and Medtronic.
