Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
5:30 a.m. Monday, July 1, North CR 500W, north of West CR 400N, Warsaw. Driver: Michael S. Schooley, 46, West CR 550N, Warsaw. Schooley told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on CR 500W when a deer entered the roadway. He told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer with his motorcycle. Damage up to $2,500.
1:06 p.m. Friday, June 28, North First Street, Pierceton. Drivers: Jason T. Clutter, 43, North First Street, Pierceton; Bailea E. Tackett, 17, South Seventh Street, Pierceton. Clutter told police that while driving his vehicle out of a gas station parking lot, he did not see the vehicle driven by Tackett, causing the collision. Damage up to $5,000.
Silver Lake
Officers from the Silver Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
12:42 a.m. Sunday, June 30, SR 14, east of Bouse Drive, Silver Lake. Driver: Casey J. Koontz, 25, East Main Street, Silver Lake. Koontz told police he was driving his vehicle eastbound on SR 14 when a deer entered the roadway. He told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer with his vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:53 a.m. Monday, July 1, Ranch Road and West Ramar Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Derrick W. Pressler, 33, South CR 300E, Claypool. Pressler told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on Ranch Road when a deer entered the roadway. He told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer with his vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
2:54 p.m. Sunday, June 30, Morton Street, south of West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Brandon L. Hurd, 19, West CR 100N, Larwill. Hurd told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on Morton Street and began to turn into an alley. He said he misjudged the turn and that his vehicle struck a garage. Damage up to $5,000.
7:38 p.m. Saturday, June 29, East Main Street and North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Bradlin S. Martin, 17, CR 38, Goshen; Roger S. Kiphart, 68, E. Dellview Drive, Warsaw. Martin told police he was driving his vehicle on Main Street and that he was stopped at the Detroit Street intersection in the straight lane. He said he wanted to change lanes and began to back up his vehicle, causing it to collide with the vehicle driven by Kiphart. Damage up to $1,000.
4:54 p.m. Saturday, June 29, North Parker Street, Warsaw. Police were told by Catherine N. Kamau, North Parker Street, Warsaw, that her vehicle was parked along the north curb of Park Manor and that when she came out to her vehicle, it had been struck by an unknown vehicle. There was a light colored paint transfer, possible white, according to police. Damage up to $5,000.
10:33 a.m. Saturday, June 29, East Sheridan Street, west of North Grant Street, Warsaw. Driver: Matthew L. Maulsby, 52, East Sheridan Street, Warsaw. Maulsby told police he was backing his vehicle up in order to make room for a roofing crew and that he inadvertently backed his vehicle into the truck belonging to the roofing crew. Damage up to $2,500.
4:07 p.m. Friday, June 28, Jalynn Street and Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Drivers: Stephen C. Coble, 26, South Southwood Drive, Warsaw; Brenda R. Baker, 54, North SR 5, Cromwell. Coble told police he was driving his vehicle behind the vehicle driven by Baker and that Baker’s vehicle proceeded and then stopped suddenly. He said he was unable to avoid a rear-end collision with the vehicle driven by Baker. Damage up to $1,000.
11:41 a.m. Friday, June 28, Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Driver: Suzanne Wagner, 66, East SR 14, Silver Lake. Wagner told police that while driving her vehicle out of a parking spot, her vehicle collided with a parked vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
