Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:10 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 102 N. Main St., North Webster. Driver: Brandi L. Thornton, 51, EMS D21B Lane, Syracuse. Thornton was backing her vehicle when she struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
5:07 p.m. Friday, July 26, CR 450W, south of CR 600S, Claypool. Driver: Kristine M. Tucker, 46, West CR 600S, Claypool. A deer entered the roadway while Tucker was driving. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
6:11 p.m. Sunday, July 28, Jalynn Street, west of SR 15, Warsaw. Drivers: Ricki E. Parson, 71, East CR 1400N, Roann; and Margaret T. Broderick, 73, Aqueduct Lane 14, Warsaw. Parson had turned off SR 15 to proceed west on Jalynn Street when he entered Broderick’s lane of travel, causing a collision. Damage up to $5,000.
3:56 p.m. Sunday, July 28, US 30, east of Springhill Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Robert E. Leroy, 25, West 15th Street, Mishawaka; Crystal L. Porter, 19, Curtis Street, Osceola; and Paul A. Taylor, 69, Oakleaf Drive, Fort Wayne. Leroy was traveling west on US 30 approaching the intersection of Springhill Road and did not realize traffic in front of him stopped. When Leroy looked back up at the road, he rear-ended Porter’s vehicle. This caused Porter’s vehicle to rear-end Taylor’s vehicle. Leroy complained of body pain and sustained a cut on his left hand and signed off at the scene with medics. Porter was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for complained of body pain and to be further checked due to being pregnant. Damage up to $25,000.
3:29 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2501 Walton Blvd., Warsaw. Driver: Thomas L. Dunphy, 66, East CR 450N, Leesburg. Dunphy was traveling in the Walmart parking lot when he backed into a yellow painted bollard. Damage up to $5,000.
12:29 p.m. Saturday, July 27, East Market Street, south of South Harrison Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Beau A. Marsh, 23, East Broad Street, South Whitley; and Gracie S. Lewis, 16, Eastwood Road, Winona Lake. Marsh was traveling north on Harrison Street when he performed a rolling stop at an intersection, striking Lewis’ vehicle. Lewis was traveling west on Market Street at the time of the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
3:48 p.m. Friday, July 26, SR 15, near West CR 350N, Warsaw. Drivers: Barbara V. Eichman, 73, South Magee Road, Warsaw; and Debby A. Slusser, 64, EMS W30A1 Lane, North Webster. Eichman was traveling south on SR 15 and was driving through an intersection when she struck Slusser’s vehicle. The light for Slusser’s lane of travel signaled a green arrow, allowing her to turn. Damage up to $10,000.
1:04 p.m. Friday, July 26, North Indiana Street, north of East Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Erin L. Freshwater, 22, Wallace Road, Wexford, Pa.; and Meredith B. Brown, 29, Jasmine Key Court, Fort Wayne. Freshwater was traveling south on Indiana Street and stopped at an intersection. She thought it was a four-way stop and proceeded into the intersection when she struck Brown’s vehicle. Brown complained of shoulder and upper arm pain. Damage up to $10,000.
