SYRACUSE — Steven C. Printz, 69, East Pixie Parkway, Cromwell, died Friday, Aug. 9, at South Bend Memorial Hospital, from injuries he suffered in a moped accident Wednesday, Aug. 7.

The accident occurred at 5:58 p.m. on South Lakeside Drive, south of East Pickwick Drive, Syracuse. He suffered head injuries and was flown to South Bend Memorial by Lutheran Air.

Police report Printz was northbound on South Lakeside Drive on a 2014 Jaguar moped when the moped crossed into the southbound lane of travel and hit a guardrail on the west side of the road. The crash report states the moped slid down the guardrail for 15 feet.

Printz, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown over the handlebars of the moped.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley St., Crooksville, Ohio.
