HSE Pounds Warsaw
LAKEVILLE – The bar was raised quite a bit in Warsaw’s girls soccer spectrum.
Hamilton Southeastern, ranked No. 2 in Indiana and No. 11 nationally, demolished Warsaw, 11-1, Friday in the opening round of the Indian Classic hosted by South Bend St. Joe at Newton Park.
HSE fired 19 shots on Warsaw, connecting on eight goals in the first half. Tessa Wood and Jasmine Ochoa combined for eight stops in net for the Tigers.
Warsaw salvaged its lone goal from Rylee Burns, who scored in the second half.
Warsaw (0-1) will resume play at the tournament Saturday against Lake Central and Mishawaka Marian.
