Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

5:37 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, East Center Street and North Park Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Gregory A. Pratt, 17, North CR 400E, Warsaw; Teresa C. Jordan, 54, South County Farm Road, Claypool. Pratt told police he was driving his vehicle west on Center Street and that traffic began to slow ahead of him. He said he became distracted by a vehicle that entered the roadway and appeared to begin merging into his lane. He was unable to stop his vehicle before it struck the rear of the vehicle driven by Jordan. Damage up to $2,500.

4:53 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, East Center Street, east of South Harrison Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Mark A. Bragg, 58, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw; Esmeralda Juarez, 40, East CR 250S, Warsaw. Bragg and Juarez both told police they were driving their vehicles east on Center Street when traffic suddenly came to a stop. Bragg could not stop his vehicle in time to avoid a rear-end collision with the vehicle driven by Juarez. Damage up to $5,000.

2:06 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, North Detroit Street, north of East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Chad M. Hiatt, 43, Fairhill Road, Fort Wayne; Stephanie L. Scott, 54, North Old Orchard Drive, Warsaw. Hiatt told police he was driving his vehicle north on Detroit Street and that his vehicle rear-ended the vehicle driven by Scott while he attempted to turn into the CVS parking lot. Damage up to $10,000.
