Second Suspect Arrested In Bourbon Thefts
BOURBON — The second suspect in the burglary of the Bourbon Liquor Store and the Bourbon Country Church has been identified and is incarcerated in the Kosciusko County Jail for unrelated events.
Brandon Lee Schoetzow, 24, with an address of 1520 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw, originally from the Marcellus/Dowagiac, Mich., area, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail Aug. 19 on a failure to appear warrant.
Laydon Butler Umaons, 34, Fort Wayne, was arrested Sunday, Aug. 18, after the vehicle he was driving was observed fleeing the scene. Schoetzow is allegedly the person who fled the vehicle when police attempted a traffic stop.
After investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Bourbon Police Department and Indiana State Police, a warrant was issued for Schoetzow’s arrest. He is being charged in Marshall County with two counts of burglary and resisting law enforcement.
Once Schoetzow finishes his appearance in Kosciusko County, he will be transferred to the Marshall County Jail and will be given a court date.
