Girls Golf Results: Sept. 4
WARSAW 185, PLYMOUTH 198
Warsaw girls golf earned its second Northern Lakes Conference win of the year in a meet with visiting Plymouth at Stonehenge on Wednesday.
Leading the way for the Tigers was Marie Frazzetta with a 43, followed by Grayson Kilburn’s 45. Sydney Lancaster and Delaney Byron came in at 48 and 49, respectively. The win moves Warsaw to 8-4 on the season and 2-3 in the NLC.
Brooklyn Fitzgerald led Warsaw’s JV with a 57.
NORTHWOOD 163, NORTHRIDGE 182, GOSHEN 226
NorthWood stretched its Northern Lakes Conference win streak to 56 with wins over both Northridge and Goshen playing on the front nine at home at McCormick Creek Wednesday evening.
Cybil Stillson fired a 2-over-par 38 to beat out another potential NLC medalist in Northridge’s Braedyn O’Dell, who carded her team’s second score of 42 behind Ashley Brewster’s 41 at McCormick.
Breanna Goss and Delaney Davis both shot 41, and Kirsten Schrock turned in a 43 for the Lady Panthers, who moved to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in the conference this season while handing Ridge its first loss as the Raiders dipped to 10-1 and 5-1 in NLC play.
Goshen remained winless in NLC play at 0-5. The RedHawks were led by dual 53s from Estella Borden and Maya Narayan.
Wood’s junior varsity also won both of its matches, 189-260 to Goshen, while Northridge fielded an incomplete squad in the JV meet. Makenna Gall fired a 41 to lead the JV Panthers.
CONCORD 184, WAWASEE 186, ELKHART MEMORIAL 202
Wawasee lost a two-stroke heartbreaker to Concord but comfortably topped Elkhart Memorial in a Northern Lakes Conference three-way at Christian Creek Wednesday.
Belle Brunner led Wawasee with a 42, while Tate Cowan and Taylor Cripe both shot 46, and Ava Harker carded 52.
Gracie Tucker’s 38 earned her low-medalist honors for Concord. Courtney King shot 42 for Memorial.
The Warrior varsity moves to 10-2 and 3-2 in the NLC standings.
Wawasee’s JV won its meet, 241-269.
