MudLOVE Celebrates 10 Years Of Charitable Success Saturday
WARSAW — MudLOVE is celebrating its 10th anniversary by continuing to give back to others through a party and fundraiser in Winona Lake on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In September 2009, MudLOVE was started by Luke Wright out of a garage. The organization quickly outgrew the garage and moved to its current location, 122 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw, in October 2012. MudLOVE makes products such as bracelets and mugs out of clay with inspirational messages or words stamped on them. Nearly 50 people work for the local business.
Since its inception, MudLOVE has donated upward of $450,000 to Water for Good, which helps tackle water poverty in the Central African Republic. Each product purchased from MudLOVE provides one week of clean water to someone in need.
In 2016, MudLOVE launched “LoveWell Fundraising,” an online fundraising platform. To date, MudLOVE customers have raised over $300,000 through the platform.
During this weekend’s party and fundraising event, MudLOVE hopes to raise $10,000, with $30,000 in pledges, toward clean water projects. The party includes a Makers Mart, yoga class, and live music. The Makers mart includes vendors such as printmakers, ceramicists and jewelers.
A $5 suggested entry fee for the event will be collected for Water for Good.
