Sons and Daughters Festival Friday In Winona Lake
WINONA LAKE — Last year, Raise the Dough held a fall event, Raise the (Pizza) Dough, on the Forshtay Farm.
It was a modest event that ended up raising $38,000 for adoption. This year, we’ve dreamed up something even bigger.
Representatives of Raise the Dough are excited to announce the Sons and Daughters Festival – a night of prayer, education, and worship that will take place Friday, Sept. 20.
It is our hope and prayer that this event will be one that calls Northern Indiana to action on the topics of Life, Foster Care and Adoption.Too often these issues are viewed as silos, but the heart of each issue remains the same – to protect vulnerable children.
We have a motto at Raise the Dough — Pray, Support, Adopt. It means that we all play a role. That role looks different for everyone, but there is always something we can do. The purpose of the Sons and Daughters Festival is to shine a light on the many different opportunities we have to make a difference in the lives of children.
Raise the Dough will be hosting several agencies and organizations affiliated with life, foster care and adoption. The event will also serve to raise money for the 10 families who are actively raising funds for their adoptions with Raise the Dough.
The event is from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. on the Tabernacle Lawn in Winona Lake.
The Sons and Daughters Festival will feature food from local vendors in conjunction with Taste of Kosciusko, an endeavor by the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce.
There will also be kids crafts led by Spoonful of Imagination and sports activities let by Agaitas.
