Trinity Runs Past LCA
SOUTH BEND – Trinity started off hot and maintained its pace in a 5-0 girls soccer win over visiting Lakeland Christian Friday evening.
A goal in the first five minutes of the match, then two more in the next 20 minutes, gave Trinity a lead LCA couldn’t catch.
Trinity added insurance goals in the final 10 minutes.
LCA was held to just four shots on target in the match.
Finley Hobbs made five saves in goal for the Cougars, which drop to 4-3 on the season.
“They are a good fast and physical team,” stated LCA head coach Nat Raber. “I don’t think we played bad, just not our best. We need to get our offense gelling again and hopefully we can accomplish that the next game. I am proud of how the girls responded as they never hung their heads and gave good effort the entire game.”
LCA hosts Elkhart Christian Saturday morning.
