Warsaw Parks Office Moves To Pete Thorn Center
WARSAW — The Warsaw Parks & Recreation Department has moved to the Pete Thorn Building at 800 N. Park Ave. in Warsaw.
The move was made today, Sept. 13. It is a temporary move, but it is expected to be a lengthy stay.
The longtime parks office on Canal Street is being vacated and will be demolished to make room for part of the North Buffalo Street development.
The park office staff was still settling into their workspace Friday morning, Sept. 13. Some recreation staff had already been working at Pete Thorn.
No other staff or programs at Pete Thorn will be affected by the change.
New signage at the Pete Thorn Center will be installed soon to make it more clear where the office is inside the building.
The park offices will eventually move into the Center Lake Pavilion after it is extensively renovated.
Details about how soon that or the demolition of the old office have not been released yet.
