Officers with the Claypool Police Department investigated the following accident:

5:12 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, SR 15 and West CR 900S, Claypool. Drivers: Charles B. Sleeth, 70, Tamarack Street, Warsaw; and Courtney A. Steffensmeier, 21, Deerwood Court, Warsaw. Sleeth’s vehicle pulled into the path of Steffensmeier’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000. 

Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

7:28 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, South CR 700W, west of West CR 800S, Claypool. Drivers: Matthew A. Crump, 36, West CR 800S, Claypool, and Tyler H. Boganwright, 27, West CR 800S, Claypool. Boganwright’s vehicle struck Crump’s vehicle as Boganwright was traveling east on CR 800S and Crump began pulling out of a driveway. Damage up to $25,000. 

2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: David F. Larrew, 86, Blue Jay Drive, Mentone; and Heather W. Stolte, 46, Abbington Trail, Fort Wayne. The vehicles collided as Larrew’s vehicle pulled onto US 30. Damage up to $10,000. 

1:20 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, East CR 450N, west of North CR 100E, Warsaw. Drivers: Martin A. Wood, 54, Brookfield Circle, Warsaw; and Gloria Silvestre-Ramierez, Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. The vehicles collided at the intersection. Silvestre-Remierez was cited for operating without a license. Damage up to $5,000. 

8:58 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, North CR 675E, south of East CR 650N, North Webster. Driver: John F. Hunziker, 42, Village Drive, Leesburg. Hunziker’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $25,000. 

6:43 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, South CR 700W, south of West CR 1200S, Silver Lake. Driver: Matthew R. Greer, 29, South CR 700W, Silver Lake. Greer’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.

5:42 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, SR25, north of West CR 200S, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael L. Ward, 23, Packerton Road, Claypool; and Steven M. Monesmith, 39, Mishawaka Street, Akron. Ward  was traveling west on  CR 200S. He proceeded into the intersection after stopping at the stop sign located at SR 25 and CR 200S. His vehicle then struck Monesmith’s vehicle, which was traveling south on SR 25. Damage up to $25,000. 

5:50 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, North CR 850E and East CR 250N, Pierceton. Driver: Dustin G. Riemersma, 42, West CR 150S, Pierceton. Riemersma’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500. 

2:35 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, South CR 550W, south of West CR 200S, Warsaw. Driver: Carl W. Hooks, 42, Jefferson Street, Silver Lake. Hooks’ vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000. 

4:41 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, SR 14 and South CR 600E, Sidney. Drivers: Kyle E. Slater, 28, East CR 1000S, Claypool; and Andrew L. Bolinger, 25, North CR 100E, North Manchester. Slater’s vehicle rear-ended Bolinger’s vehicle. Slater suffered a head injury and was flown by Samaritan helicopter to Parkview Regional Medical Center. Damage up to $50.000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

8:26 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, SR 15 and Kincaide Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Gabrielle L. Spaw, 25, Line Street, Columbia City; and Austin C. Kurosky, 20, West CR 300S, Columbia City. Spaw’s vehicle rear-ended Kurosky’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500. 

1:55 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, Court Street, south of Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Eldon R. Long, 43, Market Street, Warsaw; and Phillip E. Nelson, 76, Market Street, Warsaw. Long was backing out of his driveway when his vehicle struck Nelson’s vehicle, which was traveling east on Jefferson Street. Damage up to $5,000. 

12:54 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, West CR 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Kerry E. Fribley, 34, EMS T9 Lane, Leesburg; and Candace A. Garton, 60, Frontage Road, Warsaw. The vehicles collided as Fribley was exiting a parking lot. Damage up to $5,000. 

3:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept.14, West CR 300N, Warsaw. Driver: Renee K. Crates, 48, East CR 300N, Decatur. Crates’ vehicle struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle as Crates was backing out of a parking space. Damage up to $2,500. 

11:48 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, Husky Trail, north of Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Robert A. Tillman, 87, South CR 600W, Claypool; and Ashley Starkweather, 31, Doe Street, Warsaw. Tillman said he was traveling through an access road on Husky Trail and waiting at a stop sign due to backed up traffic in the let turn lane. He said a person in the line of traffic waved him across and as he proceeded forward, his vehicle struck Starkweather’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000. 

11:41 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, Center Street and Park Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: John A. Diehl, 80, Northcrest Lane, Claypool; Clara M. Hardy, 19, EMS T44 Lane, Leesburg; and Emma N. Marshall, 17, Southfield Road, Winona Lake. Diehl’s vehicle rear-ended Hardy’s vehicle, resulting in Hardy’s vehicle being pushed into the back of Marshall’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000. 

9:46 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, SR 15, south of Gilliam Drive, Warsaw. An unknown vehicle struck a portable arrow signal which was part of a road construction site in the area of SR 15. Damage up to $5,000. 

4:40 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, Winona Avenue, east of Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Esteven R. Schmerber, 26, Wood Street, Warsaw; and Amanda E. Wilcox, 35, Elm Road, Tippecanoe. Schmerber’s vehicle struck Wilcox’s vehicle as Schmerber was exiting a parking lot. Damage up to $5,000. 

1:43 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, Main Street, west of High Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Kimberly A. Knoerzer, 31, Bluebird Drive, Warsaw; and Cynthia E. Love, 19, Brookview Avenue, Warsaw. The vehicles collided when Knoerzer was pulling out of a parking lot onto Main Street. Damage up to $2,500. 

9:00 a.m. Thursday, Sept.12, Crestlane Drive, north of Gilliam Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Heather A. Faust, 30, Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Faust’s vehicle struck a parked vehicle as Faust was backing out of a driveway. Damage up to $2,500.

Winona Lake

Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accidents:

10:21 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 7th Street, Winona Lake. Driver: Kennedy L. Ash, 18, SR 23, Grovertown. Ash was pulling into a parking space when her vehicle struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.

1:19 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, Pierceton Road, west of CR 500E, Winona Lake. Driver: Charlene E. Renier, 39, US 30, Pierceton. Renier’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
