Volleyball Results: Sept. 24
NORTHWOOD 3, GOSHEN 1
Goshen made the No. 3 NorthWood Panthers work for it, but the visitors were too tough in a 25-10, 22-25, 25-18, 25-17 result in Goshen. Caroline Mullet pulled the strings with a whopping 54 assists, and NorthWood’s big three of Maddy Payne, Alea Minnich and Kate Rulli combined for 46 kills. Kennedy Hochstetler chipped in 20 digs and two aces, and Macy Lengacher affected the match with 15 digs.
The Panther JV continued to roll on in a 25-10, 25-20 win over the RedHawks. Annika Bennett led the Panthers with seven kills and 12 assists, Tory Mullet paced the defense with 12 digs and Jadyn Gessinger had 10 digs.
TRITON 3, WINAMAC 0
Triton earned a Hoosier North Athletic Conference win with a 25-23, 25-21, 25-22 sweep of Winamac in the Trench. Abbey Viers paced the Triton attack with seven kills while Lexia Hostrawser and Madeline Doll each had seven kills. Hostrawser also tallied four aces and two blocks, Viers had three blocks. Dylanie Miller had a nice night with 14 digs and 13 assists, Molly McFarland had 13 digs and Emma Hepler tossed in 10 assists.
The Triton JV also swept Winamac 25-21, 25-21.
EDGEWOOD 7TH GRADE 2, MANCHESTER 0
Edgewood put away Manchester 25-15, 25-18.
EDGEWOOD 8TH GRADE 2, MANCHESTER 0
Edgewood ran away from Manchester by a score of 25-9, 25-21.
LAKEVIEW 8TH GRADE 2, BREMEN 1
Bremen gave Lakeview everything they could handle, but the Tigers came out in top 25-14, 23-25, 15-13. The combination of Olivia Devenney, Kenzie Chivington, Mia Alexander, Colette Blackburn and Jael Namfukwe put down 13 kills for Lakeview.
MILFORD 8TH GRADE 2, GARRETT 0
Milford came out on top 25-19, 25-20 over the future Railroaders.
