North Webster Library Plans Trip To Ligonier For Annie Oakley Perfumery
NORTH WEBSTER — Tickle your nose and take a sensory tour through a perfume factory where you will see and learn how fragrances are designed, blended and bottled.
North Webster Community Public Library is taking reservations for an adult field trip to Annie Oakley Perfumery in Ligonier Thursday, Oct. 24.
Traveling by carpool, the tour group will leave from the library at 9 a.m. After the perfumery tour, the group will visit nearby Fashion Farm Pumpkin Fantasyland and have lunch at the Fashion Farm Restaurant, said a news release from the North Webster Community Public Library.
To go on the Ligonier field trip, you must sign up in advance at the library circulation desk. Bring along $5 for perfumery tour and $3 Fantasyland admission, plus money for lunch and shopping. Space is limited, so sign up soon.
Treat yourself to a free afternoon movie at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, when the Adult Services Department shows a 1939 romantic comedy about a Manhattan career woman who resists the romantic overtures of a man who wants to marry her, but soon finds her world changing. Bring your own drinks and enjoy free popcorn and an old-time classic movie.
Preschool Story Time continues at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday in the Youth Services Department. Children ages 3 to 6 are learning about autumn through books, storyboards and crafts.
With busy family schedules, it is hard to find the time to bring the kids to the library to browse for books. Save time with Grab and Go Bags available in the Youth Department. Each bag is pre-filled with 10 books. Some bags are themed with books pertaining to a specific subject or interest while other bags are designated for Accelerated Reader reading levels. It is a fast and convenient way to select and check out books. Just drop in, grab and go.
