Jason Michael Carroll Is Featured Artist For “Thanks For Giving” First Friday
WARSAW — Enjoy a musical performance and games, while giving back to the community on First Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at the courthouse square in downtown Warsaw.
The event’s theme is “Thanks for Giving” and is sponsored by G&G Hauling and Excavating.
Attendees are asked to bring items to help fill a G&G dump truck to support local not-for-profit organizations. Items being requested are toiletries, laundry/dish soap, winter wear, baby food/formula, cleaning supplies, maternity clothes, new blankets/sheets and nonperishable foods.
Donated items will be distributed to The Beaman Home, The Salvation Army, Combined Community Services, Serenity House, Fellowship Missions, Heartline and All Things New.
Country music artist Jason Michael Carroll will perform at 7:30 p.m. Carroll is known for his hits such as “Alyssa Lies, “Livin’ Our Love Song,” “Where I’m From,” and “I Can Sleep When I’m Dead.”
Local “celebrities” will also be participating in a celebrity equipment rodeo at 6:30 p.m. There will also be several games and activities, including pet rock painting, sandboxes, a roller demonstration and crane basketball. Attendees can also complete a crossword puzzle for a chance to win in hourly drawings. To complete the puzzle, participants must visit each not-for-profit and piece of equipment on display to complete the puzzle.
